3M Littmann Classic III Stethoscope 5811 (Smoke-Finish, Black Edition, 27 Inch)

The Littmann Classic 3 Black Edition (Model 5811) is a trusted acoustic stethoscope for doctors, nurses, medical students and home caregivers. It is used to listen to heart, lung and other body sounds during routine check-ups, patient monitoring and physical assessment. The chestpiece is made of stainless steel with a smoke finish, and it is paired with a durable black tube. The two-sided chestpiece has an adult side and a pediatric side, so one stethoscope suits patients of all ages. Its tunable diaphragm lets you hear low-pitched sounds with light pressure and high-pitched sounds with firm pressure, without changing the chestpiece.

The 27-inch tubing is latex-free and phthalate-free. It resists skin oils, alcohol and stains, and it keeps its shape even after being folded into a pocket. The angled headset has larger ear tubes, and the soft snap-tight eartips give a snug fit that reduces background noise. The single-piece diaphragm has a smooth surface, so it is easy to clean, and the pediatric side converts to a traditional open bell using the included non-chill sleeve. The pack includes large and small eartips, a non-chill bell sleeve and instructions. Keep it away from heat, direct sunlight and sharp objects.

Check the eartips regularly and replace them if they are worn or cracked.

Store it loosely coiled and do not fold the tube tightly for long periods.

The tubing is latex-free, but avoid using it if you have a known allergy to any of the materials.
